The bullies have an answer for that too in "Cheat by Mail". And for that ole racist cloture rule in the Senate too. And also how to address the balance in the Supreme Court.
Most of us enjoy being employed, and know the quickest way to not be employed is to fight the bullies.
A reckoning is coming. It has to.
We have a peaceful, voting based system in this country. Its a civilized and thoughtful process. A lot of sacrifice has gone into establishing this system and its how we maintain our freedom, transfer power, and decide society’s priorities.
We’re not about mob rule and imposing change by violence, lawlessness and rioting. Emotion driven movements are contrary to every principle most people in this country hold dear. Its not an acceptable way to govern or make constructive changes and we will not tolerate it.
Abide by our peaceful processes or get the hell out of this country.
Toxic un-masculinity on display
For a lot of us, like me, it means we wish to keep our jobs and careers - people are being fired over the most banal of comments or something they said or posted a decade ago and someone in HR dragged up.
This is the age we live in: Tyranny.
I get standing up to the bullies but it could be at great personal cost: jobs, promotions, college admissions, smearing of reputation, being blackballed, etc.
I know this is true in my case.
When did it become legal to block public streets? Is this the result of years of the ACLU telling us that public means you can do whatever you want, regardless of how it affects others? The cops should have arrested any protesters who ventured out into the street. Let them protest on sidewalks.
Also, when did it change so that you can say whatever you want while on the job? Roger Goodell could have nipped this whole movement in the bud by telling players they could do what they want on their own time, but when they were on the field, there were rules. It has nothing to do with what freedom of speech.
Another blah, blah, blah article with zero ideas on how to fight back. As TheZMan said in #3, “the quickest way to not be employed is to fight the bullies.”
I’ve read very few constructive ideas other than vote, talk to people, and carry.
I’m sorry that I don’t have any other constructive ideas.
I’m real sick of it - just done with them.
We either adhere to the rule of law as spelled out in the Constitution or loose our Republic.
