What does it mean that most of the adults out thereparents, professionals, educators, laborers, ordinary folksdont seem to have the moral and intellectual wherewithal to stand up to the bullies and the dreamers and the ignorance For a lot of us, like me, it means we wish to keep our jobs and careers - people are being fired over the most banal of comments or something they said or posted a decade ago and someone in HR dragged up.
This is the age we live in: Tyranny.
I get standing up to the bullies but it could be at great personal cost: jobs, promotions, college admissions, smearing of reputation, being blackballed, etc.
I know this is true in my case.
