And 8 months it was a nice place to visit.

My wife has always wanted to visit NYC at Christmas time, so we spent a week there last December.

We had a really nice hotel just a couple of blocks off Times Square, walked everywhere we could, otherwise Ubered and took the subway.

Streets were clean, people were nice, and only saw a couple of people camping on the sidewalks. And that was over by Rockefeller Center.

Glad we went when we did.

I agree! Our son and his wife spent the last three years living in the city financial district in a beautiful apt. Working for Cadillac. We visited them several times and have wonderful memories of the city, little Italy, Chinatown, and the jazz clubs on the East Village. Not to mention the wonderful food and historic architecture. So glad we did that! They moved back to Tennessee last year, but we will always have those memories of one of the world’s great cities before this last years destruction. So sad.
