The sea people?
Yes—I believe that’s what they were referred to in Biblical times
At the close of the Bronze age in the eastern Mediterranean, invaders and what you could call viking-like raiders raided Pharaonic Egypt, Canaan and Hittite Anatolia. They were called the sea peoples by the Egyptians and were given tribal names that seto suggest they were random groups of peoples from Sardinia, Sicily, Crete and Mycenae. They didn’t act in concert.
The philistines were Peleset, guessed as Mycenaeans.
