I am in my late '50s, and I have felt it in IT land for a LONG time. Programmers don't have it so hard, but guys like me who work in support and operations know a lot about systems that no longer exist. I try not to whine (some of the younger ones whine), volunteer for drudge things as needed (e.g. decommissions), and help out with writing and non-IT skills when needed to fill out an assignment. Also, I have had the most success in areas that aren't cutting edge (e.g. banking).

I’m sure I’m going to get flamed for this but the Boomers ruined the country... of course there are MANY Boomers who are fantastic and many of them are on this site, but as a generation they ushered in an era that spells the destruction of the republic. the country was lost on their watch. End of story.

Are you referring to the 2020 election and calls from the left for taking private properties, etc.?

Millennials looking for jobs with conservative employers can offer hints that they are conservative. Examples: "I don't do drugs." "I'm old fashioned."

You should fear the fact that once we Boomers are gone, nobody and I mean NOBODY will know how to work.

Working part-time, I still had higher productivity than the snowflakes who worked full time. Then they wouldn’t like me because I come to work to WORK. Good luck.
