China Seeds: A Biological Attack on America?
The Gatestone Institute ^ | July 30, 2020 | Gordon G. Chang

Posted on 07/30/2020 2:59:40 PM PDT by yoe

Some think the packages [of seeds marked as "jewelry"] could be part of a "brushing scam" — an effort to create fake customer reviews on online retail platforms — but that appears unlikely. For one thing, there is no indication these seeds — there are several varieties of them — are either branded or are offered for sale.

"DO NOT plant them," officials in every state have warned.

There is also an infamous statement attributed to General Chi Haotian. In a secret speech to senior Communist Party officials sometime around 2002, Chi, then the Chinese defense minister, stated there was a need for "new living space" because of the exhaustion of existing Chinese territory. Chi suggested the "mass colonization" of the land occupied by United States as the best option.

"We are not as foolish as to want to perish together with America by using nuclear weapons," he said. The way to "clean up" the U.S., Chi argued, would be through biological attacks.

[snip] Residents in all 50 states have received packages of seeds, sent unsolicited from China. Many of the packages, mailed through the Chinese state-run postal system, were mislabeled as "jewelry" for U.S. Customs purposes.

DO NOT plant them," officials in every state have warned.

"They could be invasive, meaning they may have the potential to introduce diseases to local plants, or could be harmful to livestock," the Montana Department of Agriculture noted in a statement on Monday, referring to the Chinese seeds. "Treat them like they are radioactive, like they are Kryptonite," said Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller.

Trump administration officials now need to ask one question: Are the seeds a biological-warfare attack on the United States?

We do grow our own food. China needs that food a damn sight more than we do.

Chicoms' next question: "Most excellent and honorable sir, are not America's land regions occupied?"

"Yes......As of now. It will be pleasing if you inquire again after January 21, 2021. New management quite cooperative."

I was thinking the same thing. They should have had time to determine just what they are by now.

Chia Obama Special Edition. Available on Amazon $59.95. I had to find out if it was real or not. Wonder if he gets any royalties.

I think the “brushing” scam seems likely with the seeds.

One person found the seeds were identified as amaranth, coleus, and two types of mint.

That wouldn’t fit the current Red Scare narrative.

It is difficult to understand how the government does not know what these seeds are by now.

They may have determined that telling us will be helpful to Trump's campaign.

The Government is saying “do not plant them” . Thats hardly enough of a warning. How many people will just throw them out either in garbage or on the ground. Very likely that some will still sprout even though not “planted”

Isn’t it against the law for a foreign country to mail agricultural stuff willy-nilly like this? You can’t bring plants or anything like that on a flight. I remember the story of the woman who came through customs in New York City, and got gigged because she still had an apple that the stewardess had handed out to everybody on the plane, and instead of letting her just throw it away, they fined her.

Life imitates art. There was a whole Gilligan’s Island episode about this: a crate filled with radioactive seeds wash up on island. The castaways plant them...

Thurston: “Well, the mushrooms are mushrooming!”

...and hilarity ensues...

Lovey: “Yes, but the beets are beating them!”

"What about the Chinese spies, already here, that will do their part to bring down America, one seed at a time."

I wonder how many seeds Diane Feinswine's long-time Chi-com spy planted for her.

In a year full of conspiracy theories this has to be one of the dumbest. There are already thousands of Chinese nationals and Chinese friendly Americans who would sell us out for chump change throughout the land. Why not discretely send them seeds to scatter instead of a silly random mailout?
