HCQ should be an over the counter drug here. Just like it's been in most sub Saharan African countries with very high incidence of malaria for over 60 years.

I’m not totally opposed to HCQ being non-prescription. It certainly has its risks, but a whole bottle of Tylenol will also kill you.

I’m opposed to hyping HCQ as a miracle with no downsides. If every person over 80 with pre-existing heart conditions (which there are millions of) started taking them prophylactically, it will certainly cause deaths from QT prolongation. We warn people that a whole bottle of Tylenol will kill you. You have to have the same attitude with HCQ, which you do not seem to have.
