Trump tells voters who live in suburbs they ‘will no longer be bothered’ by low-income housing

President Trump told suburban voters in a tweet on Wednesday they will “no longer be bothered or financially hurt” by having low-income housing in their neighborhood after his administration revoked an Obama-era housing rule.

The Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing, or the AFFH rule, was designed to eliminate racial disparities in housing by telling jurisdictions that receive housing funds they must assess patterns of housing discrimination and come up with a plan to diminish them.

“I am happy to inform all of the people living their Suburban Lifestyle Dream that you will no longer be bothered or financially hurt by having low income housing built in your neighborhood," Trump tweeted Wednesday. “Your housing prices will go up based on the market, and crime will go down. I have rescinded the Obama-Biden AFFH Rule. Enjoy!”

Another thing I’ve seen is they come in and build a “senior citizen apartment complex” which few people oppose. But over time it just morphs into a Section 8 motel.

Suburban homes are way lower cost than homes in the city. that’s why suburbanites have to spend hours driving to and from work omg the freeways.

I prefer city living ...

You Valet your expensive Car when you go out, you don’t park it on the Street in front of a Crack House.

We used to live in a very nice upper middle class Neighborhood in S.CA, Orange County. Over the years they built multi Unit Apartment Complexes in the area, many just blocks away from our $750,000 Home.

They are full of Illegal Invaders and the Crime Rate goes up and up. Lots of Car Burglaries, other Property Crimes and more Assaults every day.

The Streets surrounding them are packed with Cars because there are multiple people living in the Units without sufficient on Site Parking available.

My Wife is still part of a local Facebook Group and reads all about it. It is saddening.

Yes. I approve mightily.

People who refuse to work for a living are not entitled to the
same standard of living as those who work their butts off!

What else is new?

The only thing that kind of bugs me is that Trump and Ben Carson let this thing sit there in suspended animation for over three years until Mark Levin started getting on their case about it.

Better late than never though.

Well then, become an official.

I regret moving to PDX metro, but it was less restrictive then NYC metro. On the plus side, at least the gardening rocks.

Thinking of relocating to either TX or FL, both can use two pretty conservative voters.

Every woke suburban Karen and Chad will feign outrage while secretly celebrating on the inside. If you really look at the actions of these Karens and Chads, you’ll see the biggest proponents of NIMBY attitudes anywhere. They want low-income housing, just not in their pristine, upscale neighborhoods.

“Only ones calling it racist are the very young who do not yet own homes and ghetto types.“

You are forgetting that Leftist “elites” are lying hypocrites.

Sure, they will protect the value of their own homes by blocking low income housing projects in their own neighborhoods.

But will that stop them from calling it racist when President Trump does the exact same thing to protect you and me?

Absolutely not.

Trump isn’t omniscient and therefore cognizant of every way the Obama administration screwed the country over.

It is a HUGE PROBLEM!

It destroys our neighborhoods. That's not racial because I know so many of all Americans who don't want TRASH.

No but he has people for that. Somebody other than a talk show host should have brought it to his attention long ago.
