Fourteen members of a Texas family have tested positive for the coronavirus following a party last month, with one dead and another on life support, according to a report.
Tony Green, the Dallas man who hosted the party and believed the global pandemic was a hoax, called the cluster of infections “a harsh lesson in the reality of COVID-19,” NBC News reported.
“In great haste, I began prognosticating the alphabet soup about this ‘scamdemic,'” Green said in a column in the Dallas Voice. “I believed the virus to be a hoax. I believed the mainstream media and the Democrats were using it to create panic, crash the economy and destroy Trump’s chances at re-election.”

It knows how to tell time and the date.
It knows if you are at a rally, party or church.
It knows if you are protesting, rioting, and looting.
It has taken the place of every other cause of death. Had stage 4 cancer? Your death was from the virus.
In an accident? nope, you had the virus and it caused you to cough at the wrong time.

I always understood what it meant, but I was a homeschool dad and we covered the states in detail, including mottos.
1) Can Americans understand there is a position between complete panic and total denial... a position called reality Compare it to other things: You live by a busy 4 lane highway. If you look carefully both ways, you can cross is safely. But if you run across without looking your odds are not good.
The same is true of COVID. We can survive. But skipping common sense is not the way to do it.
2) We need to learn from history. In Albany GA a man went to the Hospital with obvious symptoms. The hospital sent him home. He died of COVID-19... after he had spread it to many close friends and family. They held a large funeral from him where they spread COVID-19 to the large crowd or mourners. Then repeat without rinse for another funeral.
Knowing this, one of the survivors held a birthday party 2 counties over and spread COVID-19 to everyone at the birthday party.
That sparsely populated rural SW GA area has one of the highest rates of COVID-19 and Death per capita in the US.
Conclusion: Don’t panic. Don’t live in denial.

yeah-somethings not right-14 test positive ? out of how many-and 1 dead already-fund raiser pulled-not everyone who comes in contact gets the virus and less than 2% die
And there are now several effective courses of treatment for both early-stage and late-stage infections. The death rate should be much closer to zero if these treatments are used.
And I know 2 people who had it and have recovered. Nobody in their families caught it even after some weeks of presumed exposure. Some of the parents were in the very high risk category too.

I do believe we are being stampeded by people who "never let a crisis go to waste".
