From what I recall, each state gets to put 2 statutes in the Capitol and can change those statutes as they desire. I don’t recall how those two statues get chosen or if there is an approval process. This seems like much ado about nothing.

I’m not in the least surprised to see Brian Fitzpatrick’s name on the list. A RINO deluxe.

In the next generation will the entire Civil War be erased from school books?

GOP Rep. Gohmert Introduces Resolution To Ban Democratic Party

He doesn't go far enough. He should also add what happens to blacks in Democrat run cities, including the most recent incident that set these protests and riots off.

I see my soon-to-be-ex RINO congressman Pete Olson on the list.

Dan Crenshaw???

There has been several of his comments and votes that make me wary of Crenshaw.

Sadly, Republicans always struggle with the concept of leading and have a tendency to cave to populism and strive for appeasement. They are Charlie Brown having the ball yanked away at the last minute by Lucy.

Most of the statues are of Democrats. The fewer Democrats in the Capital the better right?

Aside from that, our history is something to learn from, not hide from.

I wonder how these 72 will vote the next time Democrats and Black Lives Matter protesters demand that other statues and monuments that offend them be removed. If Democrats decide that it’s time to dynamite Mount Rushmore because Washington and Jefferson were slave owners and Roosevelt had politically incorrect views on race, will these House Republicans play along?
