It's irritating but you have nailed something there. Despite all that has gone on Trump is sitting at 49% in the Rasmussen Poll. That is a helluva place to be for an incumbent four months out. To overcome that the Dems would need to have something pretty dynamic, and their candidate is a demented old man trapped in his basement. Playing it safe is tactically smart for Trump, despite the heartburn it's going to give all of us.
