I trust Trump’s political instincts and assume this was the right call. He’s usually right. I don’t think it’s a sell out. Just a practical decision. That said it’s too bad because for me it would have been enervating.
I can see him doing something highly energizing like flying out to the carrier Yorktown In Charleston to give his acceptance speech to an invited audience. All kinds of symbolism there!
