President Trump announced from the White House Thursday afternoon the RNC convention in Jacksonville has been canceled.
Citing the ongoing battle against Wuhan coronavirus, President Trump said it is his duty to protect the American people and the timing of the event isn't going to work.
The announcement comes after the Republican National Committee moved the convention from Charlotte, North Carolina to Jacksonville in June because of ongoing reopening restrictions.

Thank you for your reason and articulate response I agree with some of your points and Trump is now struggling to re-emerge as himself and I agree with you that I too am concerned about who is managing his campaign we seem to have done so much better with his former campaign manager Lewandowski.

Agreed. And given the circumstances, it’s the right move. The MSM would have had a field day picking at any and every real (or perceived) “GOTCHA”.
I’m glad that the POTUS cancelled before the RATS did.
And if conventions never return/are scaled back, that’s fine by me.

If you have not been following the news coming from that area you would already have the answer. Most of what is being implemented before the convention was closed was said to be because of the China virus amid spiking numbers (fake numbers albeit).
As soon as the convention was changed from Charlottesville, NC/SC to Jacksonville, FL the game was afoot and the RNC began to face an uphill battle. You need to pay a little more attention to what is going on. Trump didn’t even need to state a reason because it was as clear as day. When he said the China virus, that wasn’t exactly the truth but the alibi the demonrats were using so it was just easier to use that instead to not alienate possible voters.
Sometimes politicians need to let people off easy rather than to stir up a fight knowing they cannot win. But watch for his responses in future rallies as he will tell you what really went on.
