Surgeon General Jerome Adams begged Fox News' audience on Monday to wear face masks to help contain the spread of the coronavirus and to avoid thinking of the health measure as a violation of their rights.
Adams stressed that President Donald Trump has recently said he supports mask-wearing, despite his refusal to implement a federal mask mandate.
"I'm pleading with your viewers, I'm begging you, please understand that we are not trying to take away your freedoms when we say wear a face covering," Adams said during a "Fox and Friends" interview.
He went on, "We are not trying to take away your ability to go out when we say keep restaurant capacity under 50%. We are saying if we do these things, we can actually open and stay open. We can get back to school, to worship, to jobs. We can do this."

I see he also provided credible data to support his claims. I have not seen DATA anywhere to support any claim that wearing a mask will do anything to combat Chiflu.

The material an N95 is made of will stop about 95 percent of the 120 nm (0.12 microns) virus alone, without being suspended in an aerosol. The worst case size is 0.3 microns, give or take. Stating this counter-intuitive fact gets many folks all riled up at me.
Suspending the virus in an aerosol (like a sneeze) makes it all the easier to remove. But people lump together surgical masks (protect the patient) with N95 and other respirators (protect the wearer).

I have never worn a mask. Most people here don’t wear a mask. There is no coronavirus here.

Nobody in my over 55 community has worn a mask unless compelled to by a store. Number of Coronavirus infections in the community? Zero.
If you are scared, wear a mask. Maybe there will be a placebo effect. However, only those who are latent totalitarians (or who worship totalitarians) advocate forcing everyone to wear a mask.
If mask advocates had them, they would have already cited them. Instead, we get “emerging evidence”, “common sense suggests” and “you are being selfish” as the pro mask arguments.

My safety is NOT why “everyone else” around me will be wearing a mask. They don’t give a rat’s ass about me or else they’d respect my freedom.

That story has a lot of unanswered questions. First, I'd like to know the description of how the 73 year old was "pounding" on the store employee. The clerk claimed he tried to run an employee down with his car, and hit the building when he left, but the police found no damage to the building. The clerk also said he hit a truck and turned it sideways, but the police have no info if there was an accident. So the cops pursue him for something they have no idea he even committed, follow him to his home, and after an "interaction" with him, both cops shoot him, and they have no idea which officer's bullets actually hit him. The article I posted said they found two weapons on his property, but the cops haven't stated if he fired on them first, before they shot him. And no info if the officer's were suspended pending investigation.
The Police Department said they tried to stop the man while in pursuit, but decided to refrain “in the interest of public safety.” But “in the interest of public safety” they shoot him outside his home in a public neighborhood.

Pence doesn’t know what he is talking about when it comes to this virus. All of the lockdowns were unconstitutional and an infringement on our rights. If mandated masks had been part of the original lockdowns, they would have been rejected immedately.
