Actually, the news about death rates is good news. We have 1% of the population testing positive, or 3,500,000 and only 140,000 deaths, and we know that many many more that 1% of the population has contracted the virus. We have had annual flu deaths in the 80,000 range, so this is twice as band as a bad flu, not the end of the world. It will pass. Open the economy and stay safe, protect the vulnerable unlike what Cuomo did.

Disagree with you about Pence- he did not shut down the daily press conferences. They probably should have had press conferences twice a week rather than shutting them down. That can easily be restarted.

Gotta disagree with you there on Pence.
He started out okay by reminding us every day that the RISKS TO THE AVERAGE PERSON ARE LOW (which they are). That all got lost in the shuffle with respirators and pop-up hospitals and testing-testing-testing. But that key point needed to be reiterated every day of this event. Without that the media was able to construct a narrative that a positive diagnosis equals a tombstone, and they ran with it.
Also as leader of the Task Force they report to him. That includes Fauci. He needed to be telling him forcefully, several times a day, to STFU.
Weak, weak performance by Pence.

Seems to me this spike in the number of cases will drop off quickly over the next couple of weeks. Unless people can get this virus more than once, it has to diminish at some point. Maybe we will all get it eventually, but it can’t be on the increase forever.
