The New York Times ’ “1619 Project,” which examines the role of slavery in U.S. history, was not the central focus of his speech, nor of the new draft report that his controversial Commission on Unalienable Rights produced.
But his comments have sparked fresh debate and criticism among diplomats who continue to raise alarm bells over long-standing issues of systemic racism and diversity challenges in the State Department. Five officials who spoke to Foreign Policy on condition of anonymity described a reaction of shock and fury.
“Pompeo made it very clear where he stands and reaffirmed the purpose of the commission by denigrating the movement for equal justice and the call for racial reckoning and healing in America,” said one State Department official. “Everyone that I have spoken with is horrified and disgusted by the commission, his press conference, and [the] attack on 1619,” said the official.

This is why the Foreign Service has gained a reputation for contempt and disdain for the country they supposedly serve.

There needs to be a staff reduction at the DOS. About 100% will do. They do not share the interests of real Americans.
Diplomats = deep staters. We saw what these “diplomats” were about during the House impeachment hearings. Arrogant bastards who appear too often not to support the United States and the policy of the Administration, but their own policies. This entire government needs a complete flushing of these peiople (as well as others).

Off all gubmit jobs, I would suspect that the lowest of the low is a “diplomat”.
The 1619 project is a despicable smear campaign built on the lie that America was founded on slavery. Any State Department official who doesn’t agree with Pompeo should do the nation a favor and resign. If they don’t resign, they should be removed.

Pompeo must respond to this, and respond HARD.

This administration hasn’t been very effective in getting rid of the Obama hold-overs.
