CHICAGO – A large protest has erupted at the Christopher Columbus statue in Grant Park on Friday night.
WGN has received many reports of officers being hit by fireworks and other items as they guarded the statue. The protest started near Buckingham Fountain and marched south.
As a matter of strategy, major monuments (if not all) ought to be guarded 24/7 by citizens armed with non-lethal deterrent, and back up with lethal deterrent in the event the former proves ineffective.
This I know: We cannot sit on our hands.

Phots of our beautiful monuments to our nation, our founders, great and brave explorers ruined like that just makes me sick.
This sickness in our nation has metastasized and we are probably beyond the point of no return.

IF they need a place to dispose of the bodies, there’s some good ones around here. Between the gators and the turtles, NOTHING will be left after 24 hours. Strip and burn the clothing , then toss the bodies into the bayou. Not a single trace will be found after 24 hours...nada, nothing...not even a bone.

The Chicago PD is unable to maintain control in what amounts to a riot. They really should deploy more officers and not tolerate the attacks on them and disorder that are occurring. Some cattle prods, water cannons, and dogs might be helpful.

Most suburban women on the west coast won’t be voting for Trump. They’re way too much into the public schools,environmental propaganda,health care, and now they’re eating up this BLM nonsense.
They might be the dumbest voting bloc in the nation. Whenever I interact with them I’m amazed, at their lack of knowledge of history and how commerce works.Whatever the American establishment sells them they buy “hook line and sinker.”
Their voting habits are becoming a danger to our nation.
