SAN DIEGO, Calif. (KGTV) - It started when Amber Gilles posted a photo of San Diego Starbucks barista Lenin Gutierrez with the caption “Meet lenen from Starbucks who refused to serve me cause I’m not wearing a mask. Next time I will wait for cops and bring a medical exemption.”

A stranger in Orange County, Matt Cowan, said he wanted to donate a few dollars to the barista in tip money, so he started a GoFundMe. As the photo on Facebook filled with hundreds of thousands of interactions and comments from people supporting the barista, the tip money eventually hit more than $100,000 to be donated to the barista. Lenin said he plans to use that money to further his education and also follow his dreams of dancing.

Gilles said she now wants half of that money.

“It was discrimination and everybody is okay with it and enabling and rewarding that behavior,” said Gilles.

She went on to describe the symptoms that prevent her from wearing a mask, saying “One of them I get shortness of breath, dizziness and it messes with the heartbeat. And I do have asthma as well, and I do get mask-acne. So there’s several things going on and not only that but it doesn’t even work.”

She’s doing a gofundme for her mother-in-law but says her “boyfriend” has witnessed the bad behavior for years. Does her husband know about her boyfriend?, LOL. In all seriousness, I look for lies in gofundme bios....I found it.

No. The woman be being a Karen in public giving a low-wage cafe worker hell and purposely making a scene. Someone started a gofundnme for the barista, who became symbol of an everyman of service workers who have to go through tons of abuse everyday due to awful entitle customers, which eventually amounted to $100k. Now the woman who was being awful wants half that money due to arguing the barista would never have gotten that money without her. Which is like a hit & run driver trying to claim half a victims gofundme for medical expenses due to being the cause of it.

Lots of people use that vernacular these days in relationships without getting married. I’m gen X, but I know many millennials and younger with multiple kids in monogamous relationships who never plan of getting married since legally/financially it is no different after they have lived with each other for so long. Bottom line from actual research indicates that people probably shouldn’t be messing with masks without doing it at least as well as the super cautious health care workers in a hospital environment where the risk is magnified, and especially not with cloth masks, which hold increased possibility of causing even greater infection rates. And for novices, just from touching their face after taking their dirty mask off.

One has to wonder why there is little interest in performing such studies today, if it’s such a life and death mater. Perhaps it’s because the answer is already pretty clear that none of these masks are great, or even “not bad”, at stopping cold viruses. (Plausible cover for why they released prisoners?)

And other government sites warn not to use masks while exercising if you just look.

Mandatory public masking is both illegal as ordered, and about control, not health, outside of healthcare settings. Meanwhile propagandists and muppets deny that there is anyone or any public situation masking is inappropriate for, and any objectors should already just be staying home forever and decreasing the evident surplus population. Name calling ensues when trying to discuss such issues.

And they will also fight tooth and nail to convince us all that the new normal is that life on this planet is no longer safe for unmasked people.

Did you read what you linked? It just showed superiority of medical masks to cloth masks without mentioning anything about oxygen saturation in what you described earlier about and old person at altitude. You don’t know what you are talking about.

This study was for mask being effective to protect healthcare workers, which already is known to be weak. The point of masks during pandemic to prevent the mask wearer from coughing a cloud of infectious aerosol +6ft, rather than protect the mask wearer. I myself am unconvinced by recent argument that masks might protect mask wearers themselves, but limiting infectious spray by many feet with mask wearing has been proven to significantly reduce spread at least indoors.

A mask isn’t necessary on a good socially distanced jog outdoors far enough away from people. The mask is more of a net benefit in indoor spaces around strangers than negative for everybody.

If your dad doesn’t want to wear one, his risk of getting sick isn’t significantly greater. However if everyone had that attitude the indoors will be so dangerous that your dad should remain avoiding any indoor areas besides his own home.
