Yes running.
Kanye West is officially on the ballot as a presidential candidate in the state of Oklahoma. Only hours after the rapper filed a statement of candidacy with the Federal Election Commission, he formally entered the presidential campaign. A public affairs officer for the Oklahoma Board of Elections told New York that a representative for West showed up at the Oklahoma Board of Elections with a properly executed statement of candidacy and the $35,000 filing fee. This was the last day that independent presidential candidates could file to appear on the ballot in the Sooner State.
A copy of the statement posted online was signed by West in Miami on Thursday and features a full slate of electors, as well as the signature of a notary employed by NBC. It lists the same address filed with the FEC as well as including Wests birthday June 8, 1977.
Wests entrance in the race marks the latest shift in the rappers zigzag approach to the 2020 campaign. He tweeted on July 4 that he was running and then, as New York reported, started to mount an effort to get on the ballot in Florida before pulling back. Florida has onerous requirements to get on the ballot: West would have needed to get 132,781 valid signatures by close of business today.
Will Flanagan, one of the seven presidential electors listed on the filing, confirmed that he had been chosen to cast an electoral vote on the rappers behalf if West wins Oklahoma in November. Flanagan told New York that he had been connected to the campaign after hearing about it through the grapevine. He did not elaborate further before ending the interview.
Moving forward with his campaign, West faces a number of obstacles. Many states require more than a check

From his online presence, Flanagan looks like a real estate agent who wouldn’t mind a bit of publicity.
I just read yesterday he was out of the race.
Didn’t they announce today that he has dropped out?
I thought I heard it yesterday and that he was having a breakdown or something like that. I have no idea what to believe.
Faux News announced earlier today that he was out:

he has 180 workers supposedly opening offices ...
they have lots of followers on their accounts
they could run a national write in campaign from these followers alone. very inexpensively, have a large communication platform, and get real numbers of people to vote for him
oh well thinking is hard
I can’t think of a downside.
Kanye is likely to take a few black votes from Biden. I don’t think he hurts PDJT.
If Joe Tiger can get 20% in Oklahoma, West can get 46 precent and he would win the state.
Who will be his V.P. - Tupac?
He has reportedly had people circulating petitions in Florida and South Carolina.
Hell get 0 votes.
Hell get 0 votes.
...............................................
He will get all 17 of Oklahoma’s black votes.
Well, maybe he can be president of Oklahoma then.
>giggle<
I think, in his mind, it would be nothing much to walk into each state and get on the ballot. Around one-third of the states have simple method but you’d have to spend around $10k to $20k to get the paperwork worked-up and in the system. The rest of the states require party participation (helping you) or you need 10k folks to sign a petition to get you on the state ballot. I don’t think he grasped that part of the deal or the financial cost (probably upward to $20-million to get on all 50 states).
If I had been him...I would have picked three states (Ohio definitely in the mix), and concentrated my limited resources on affecting the Biden-outcome in those three states.
Where’s Bruce?
