Oh I agree! I call it ‘to see how much the people will tolerate’... and so far.. since WWII.. they tolerate it all pretty silently... as long as the comfort is there and the job is also... (we do work hard)... we tolerate much.
I have also said.. there has been no walking thru Europe in the cold and mud.. no living in a cold dark fox hole... not knowing how family is, for mail is not getting to you... and dead soldiers all around with no time nor place to bury the dead... that is part of WWII. and the ones who do not know what discomfort is... will sit and watch tv and get used to a socialistic living and loss of the very freedoms that give us what we are today.. hey, it isn’t worth the hassle... let someone else stop those pesky democrats. .. yeah they lie.. so does everyone else...
And that is how it goes.. not with me, but with too many. I have grandkids... i’d walk over hot coals to give them a good life... and I don’t tolerate any of this well...
