Yep. I have a pack of masks from several years ago that were for residential use, to block paint fumes, sawdust, all that. I could slap one on and go anywhere, and they aren’t worth a warm bucket of spit.
I have an old respirator for painting and other chem-type fumes, you know the type, rubber mask, replaceable elements, that I considered wearing just to make a point.
I realized no one would get my sarcasm when I saw people wearing similar gear, and they definitely weren’t joking around, so I let the idea go.
