She and her brother did get ripped off, IMO. The other grandchildren may have received the same as she & her brother, but they also would be expected to receive their parent’s share too when their parent(s) died. So in the end, they did receive less than the other grandkids.
Ok, your point is relevant, BUT, it was Trump Sr. who made that decision! Not Donald or his brothers. I’m sure there was a good reason the elder Trump set the will in that manner.
There was some kind of bad blood with their mother, the daughter-in-law. Given that Fred Jr predeceased his father by many years, his widow and grandchildren had many years to maintain a favorable relationship, if they wished to cash in more politely. The other heir in her dispute, Marys brother Fred III, is supportive of the President, and says she is lying, and that their Uncle Donald has paid his disabled sons medical bills all his life.
No, they didn't get ripped off. They got the share that Fred Trump stipulated in his will. No one has a claim on a "fair share" beyond what the will stipulates. It didn't state "per stirpes", and the wills I have had done/updated, the lawyers always ask about that. Fred Trump didn't fall off the turnip wagon yesterday when he drew up the will, and he made the asset division the way he wanted. Fred Trump could have given it all away to charity if he had so chosen in his will.
