And I think we are now on to a secondary problem — “journalists” do not have to write well or clearly. That’s not important in the hiring process. The hiring manager is just looking for people who are on board with the Narrative and who will tell the story in the way that they are instructed to tell it. Writing skills are so poor today in the US that if you can barely write a proper sentence you are an outstanding writer by comparison. Teachers are instructed to pass every student on effort.the problem goes back so many years.
