To: L.A.Justice

My brother (who lives in LA) told me that one third of the LAUSD issued laptops have never been logged in. Thus, the students aren’t even bothering to try “distance learning.” His kids have been in private schools from day one and now he and his wife have a small group of friends doing a homeschooling cooperative effort. Thankfully my sister-in-law has a job that has very flexible hours and allows her to work from home almost all the time.

Thanks for the info...I have been skeptical of “distance learning” in grades K through 12...Many of the students simply are not disciplined enough to do work when there is no teacher near them...That is something that teachers’ union does not like to talk about...
