Berman has some stones.

What is CJ [traitor] Roberts’ view?

Reasonable request.... might be after they have the actual criminals ... dem criminals are behind bars.

Until then, you Trump haters dont qualify to make judgments on this side. Clean up your mess first!

Sorry, should have said “a death sentence for a 71-year-old with comorbitities to be put in prison”

It’s a loaded question and Trump should be ready to immediately pardon if she pulls anything after getting an answer. Won’t change anyone’s vote anyway.

And how can there be a period of supervised release if there was no incarceration to be released from?

It is not a reasonable request. The President’s power to pardon and grant clemency is plenary, meaning it is absolute. U.S. Constitution, Article II, Section 2: The President...shall have power to grant reprieve and pardons for offenses against the United States. That means all cases tried in federal court.

She is asking for a copy of a document already signed. That should take 15 minutes.

71 is elderly?

Back when I was 31, some young smart ass intern doing a preoperative physical on me wrote that I was a "middle aged" male.

Some 71s ARE “elderly”, others not.

Depends on whether one has given up and moved into assisted living or not.

I had a 1st cousin who recently died at age 62 from the CCP Kung Flu Virus.

Right after his fatal heart attack.

Commutation always includes any time of supervised release; ALWAYS!

The order of Berman is just more proof of her bias. This will help Roger Stones appeal.

On top of that, once Berman Jackson imposed the sentence and finalized the date Stone was to turn himself in, she lost all jurisdiction over the case.

The DOJ should simply ignore the order, or submit a one sentence answer stating, “This court no longer has jurisdiction over this matter.”

The president is not granting a pardon. Rather he is granting clemency (commuting the sentence). Does that clemency apply to the sentence with regards to the prison time, the probation time or both? Just needs some clarification.

It is not a reasonable request.

She also asked for a copy of the executive order, which means she has not seen it and does not know what the particulars are. She has a right to know what is being commuted. She has asked whether it is just the jail sentence or also the probationary period that went along with the sentence. It was apparently in response to inquiries from the US Probation Office, which would have to manage his probation if that has not been commuted (which it probably has been). She is not challenging the authority of the the President, just trying to find out exactly what Trump is asking for.

Was 40 months in prison, along with 24 months of supervised release and a $20,000 fine “reasonable too?

Trump's Attorney General thought so.

A proper response could be, “Is there some new definition Commutation about which we are unaware?”

I didn’t consider myself elderly back when I was 71.

Well, some 71-year-olds are elderly, and some are not.

Some 50-year-olds with the wrong gene have Alzheimer’s, and others 50 or older make important scientific discoveries, write great novels, or become Senators or Presidents.

In this age, when (at least before the pandemic, and hopefully even after) many people have a reasonable expectation to live to 90, it makes no sense at all to make ageist judgements!!!!

However, if one engages in incoherent babbling like Biden, one likely has at least mild cognitive impairment, if not out-and-out dementia!!!!

Tell the Fing judge to go to hell. Inform the judge it is none of his business and any further attempt might be unwise.
