According to an analysis by Jeremy Gordon in The Duran media misinformation may be subverting effective treatment to end the coronavirus crisis.
Examining the evidence for and against the treatment regimen championed by Dr. Vladimir Zelenko, MD, Gordon examines whether hydroxychloroquine works or not, if it is safe or dangerous, and whether it should be used as a treatment for the virus.
Zelenko looked at treatments being used in China and Korea and administered his hydroxychloroquine protocol to 405 patients over 60 or with high-risk problems such as diabetes, asthma, obesity, hypertension, or shortness of breath. In this high risk group he claimed to have cut hospital admission and mortality rates compared to what could be expected without treatment by 80 to 90%.
Dr. Zelenko sent a letter to President Trump urging him to issue an executive order to roll out the treatment that the FDA was blocking. Trump announced that hydroxychloroquine looked like it could be a “game-changer”, and from that moment, Gordon says, the politicization of hydroxychloroquine began.
Gordon concludes that "the media hostile to hydroxychloroquine downplayed or cast doubt on the many successful studies and trials with hydroxychloroquine and made the most of the faulty trials as proof that the drug Trump had touted didn’t work.
"For the media it seems to have been more about scoring political points and increasing their audience ratings rather than investigative reporting which uncovers the truth. For those who are dying and their families and friends as a result of this treatment not being used because of media misinformation it is lives tragically lost, and for the rest of us it is our economies sinking, businesses failing, and unemployment, poverty and suffering rising.

When I was in Korea, in the 70s, hydroxychloroquine was on the mess hall tables right next to the salt and pepper. No physician administered a test. No one keeled over from taking it. In fact, there was a small sign that told how many to take and how often. I know of no resulting problems.
Meanwhile countries like Brazil ( to which we are sending hydroxy) are forging on, making this drug as a combo pack available to drive throughs with a prescription, and slashing hospitalization rates
The media deliberately and intentionally demonized a medicine due to their hatred for Trump.
You can ask to be prescribed this drug if you have the Wuhan flu. Demand it. Ask for Zinc Sulfate and the Z-pak also. This has been proven to be the most effective treatment.
If your doctor refuses ask for it in writing and get a second opinion. You will be prescribed the drug.
The politicization of medicine is going to create a legal mess of epic proportions and the attorney’s are already circling. Months from now we are likely to be talking about how many lives might have been saved had the media (and deep state health bureaucracy) not accused Trump of killing people.
P.S. - my doctor had it and used the HCQ regime as did other doctors in her practice. Go figure....
Their egos tell them they are doing what is right and they are making a difference.

Gordon writes: “Professor Didier Raoult of Marseilles used a similar protocol to Dr. Zelenko without the zinc. His study with a small group using hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin showed a fifty-fold benefit. He then went on to get similar results with a much larger group of 1,061 patients. Contrary to the warnings the media had been running that hydroxychloroquine would cause heart problems, no cardiac toxicity was observed and he achieved a mortality rate of only 0.5%.
Some reporter on NBC today made the eye popping assertion that the media actually hopes COVID gets better. The obvious interpretation of that is large numbers of people are deciding that the left has been cheearleadig this virus and they wanted to do a little damage control spin. Connecting the dots, I have to guess that a big source of this is the fact that the left has totally demonized and supressed HCQ and now that the surge has moved to states that aren’t totally filled up with left wing boot lickers people are saying ‘this is the only widely available treatment and we can’t get it because of YOU!’
My husband is 71, and had several high-risk problems such as diabetes, longtime smoker, obesity, hypertension, and shortness of breath.
He was hospitalized in April and ended up on ventilator for 8 days. For the first approximately 2.6 days, he was on the hydroxychloroquine plus (the zinc and antibiotic), until his negative Covid-19 test results came back. There was no clear final diagnosis, but seemed to be probably pneumonia and/or edema throughout his body and organs, etc.
I have no idea whether this drug protocol helped him, but he ended up pulling through, which was pretty much of a miracle to us. Twice, we were pretty sure that he would not make it.

I blame medical leadership and institutions, who have succumbed to media and political pressure. This goes down to the local group practice doc, most of whom are hard working as mind numbed drones blindly following CDC, NIH and FDA guidance.
They have committed malpractice with the death of thousands on their hands and to this day most have no clue.
Kudos to those few who have bought this thing thru and are getting much better results than their group-think peers.
