The value of Greyhound Lines Inc., the intercity bus service company, has seen a drop in its value as a result of reductions to illegal immigration at the United States-Mexico border.
Executives with Greyhounds parent company, FirstGroup, told MarketWatch their value has dropped by about $156 million because of less migration across the southern border.
As Breitbart News has reported, President Trumps administration released tens of thousands of border crossers and illegal aliens into the U.S. every month. Those foreign nationals would board Greyhound buses to travel to the interior of the country.
Today, though, thanks to the Remain in Mexico policy, other agreements with Central America, and the Center for Disease Controls Title 42 order, the mass catch and release of border crossers and illegal aliens has been drastically reduced.
FirstGroups Ryan Mangold said that reduction in mass migration into the U.S. has cut Greyhounds value:
At the back end of 2019 into the start of 2020, the immigration flows coming out of Mexico into the U.S. were incredibly strong, said Ryan Mangold. FirstGroups financial year ends in March.

I rode one from Ft. Jackson, SC to Dallas, Tx when I left the army in 1977. First leg, the driver was drunk or high. The second leg was long and crowded. It was a very interesting slice of humanity....
I took a lot of bus rides when I was a kid. Rode from L.A. up to Idaho when I was 13 or 14 by myselfdifferent times.
Anyway, the worst was a trip from Phoenix to L.A. There was a kid in back attempting to play a song on his guitar. Over and over again. He would play until he hit the wrong note. Then start over. He was a determined soul and must have tried 100 timesnever finishing the tune.
