And people don’t understand that pollsters typically survey by demographic class that is meant to skew results. If they survey 75% RATs and 25% GOP (which they do), then the results will favor the RAT side.

People generally believe that the questions asked are fair, and that an equal/fair sample is being surveyed. There’s that, and there’s push polling which also skews results in a certain way.

The Clintons would not have been lighting off fireworks themselves like backyard bottle rockets but instead hired professionals who must adhere to licensing and permitting requirements in order to stay in business. As best as I can tell, with Trump closing the gap in the polls, Clinton and her team expected to win, just not in time to meet the 9:30 PM schedule set for the fireworks. Since having fireworks later than that would violate both good sense and permit restrictions, the fireworks show was canceled.
