The interview at Telemundo is short and rather specific. A bit of news that President Trump says he is going to sign a bill in the coming weeks that will include AMNESTY for DACA.
Does President Trump feel so threatened on re-election that he thinks this will win him votes?!
The only citizenship they should get is of their home countries before deportation.

If Trump signs an Amnesty betrayal he will lose for sure.
I hope the president is not acting out of desperation. He is NOT trailing in the polls and this will NOT win him Latino voters. He has no reason to do this.

I agree. AMNESTY is losing position. He should note that Congress voted at least three times against DACA. He campaigned against amnesty and DACA. He spent capital as president fighting it. Now, he apparently wants to double down on implementing DACA, including giving them a pathway to citizenship?!
Amnesty for DACA will only generate more calls for amnesty for all.

DACA is CACA.
This is nothing really new. He campaigned on this in 2016, maybe with a slightly different spin. He said back in 2016 that people who are here illegally would have to make amends but that they could find a home here permanently if they did. He used different phrases, once saying “they may have to leave and come back” or something like that.
In any case, we’re not going to round up and deport 20 million people. I wouldn’t support that. It would be devastating to the country morally. So we need to find a solution. Building better barriers to entry has to be the first step and he is well on his way with that. Now, we can work on the next step.
Was “Jerod-the-leftist” in the room when Trump said this?

1) Give Jared and Ivanka something to do that will get them out of the White House for a very long time. Something that’s not too important.
2) Win reelection, which just got easier because of #1.
Remember those rallies in 2016 where Trump do that call and response with the crowd? Good times.
Trump: “What do you want?”
Crowd: “A massive open-ended illegal-alien Amnesty!”
Trump: “Who’s going to pay for it?”
Crowd: “Our children!”
