Much may be due to indoor airborne transmission through A/C systems. Outdoor mask mandates won’t help.

Looks like he fell for the hype. Riots + immigration surge + aggressive testing + inpatient admissions “with Covid” counted as Covid patients + non covid deaths counted as Covid all adds up to tens of thousands of false numbers. Abbott has been duped. The bastards got to him.

The irony is Harris County (Houston) is far and away pushing the numbers north in both number of positives and deaths...isn’t that the same place tens of thousands of people packed together for the george floyd funeral??

In Florida, its Miami/Broward/Palm counties which are pushing the numbers north. That same area had the most riots and looting in the state...

Yet they continue to claim the protests/riots/looting have no caused a spike in cases...

Abbott is flailing and scared. Sad, sad spectacle.

Hammer, meet nail. Damn...

And schools are supposed to open in 33 days? If they go back to online instruction, we're going to be looking at alternatives for my grandson, who will be a 4th grader.

Check that, we are looking at alternatives, commencing on Monday. I'll be informally teaching him on Texas History, which they get in 4th grade. I've got a few weekend field trips to supplement the book learning.

Abbott just lost my vote.

Why is nobody fighting back? Because the majority recognize the seriousness of the issue and what is about to happen to the hospital system.

Why is nobody fighting back in Abbott’s decrees?

I don't know but my friends in Texas says he's lost his damn mind and is probably wearing lace panties.

That's what they said :)

I live here and don’t know what or who to believe! It’s constant doom and gloom from local media......Dallas area......seems since mandatory masks and bar shut downs, the numbers have gone up! Then I heard the testing numbers are 10 days behind. 2 teachers in my family are saying no way to keep virus from spreading in schools. But, they’re due back on Aug.4. 70% of parents want kids back in school. So.....schools will open and most likely have to close again. It’s difficult for patents who both work.
They cancel the state fair but open schools?

Stop fear mongering. That catastrophic fantasy never happened in NY and 25,000 people died there. If the hospital system of Texas can’t handle this we have bigger problems than the Chicom flu.

Heard on the radio today there is a dispute regarding kids. Some say they don’t spread it. The “radio expert” said Switzerland is considering not even testing kids because there is no point.

The guv is a scared cuck and doesn’t know how to read the statistics about this virus. He is pandering to those who are overwhelmed by fear and are panicking. What a putz. With nitwits like this in “charge”...the state is doomed to idiocy.

“Texas hit a high water mark of 63 COVID-19 deaths on May 21. Previous to that, it was 59 on April 29th.

On July 7th, they hit 85. On July 8th, 121. Yesterday was 102.”

How many of these were patients transferred from Mexico? There are a bunch of these down near the border.
