I’d say fire their asses, but they are union, so that’s not gonna happen.
Article states that Ford has two thirds of the police car market. Thats not the way I see it here in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. Appears to me the PD vehicle of choice in these parts is the Chevy Tahoe.
If they feel that strongly about it, they should quit their jobs at Ford.

Every day, it seems something new comes up. So now the radical types will demand Ford not make police cars. This will morph into a boycott of Ford.
The same will happen to the companies which manufacture the guns and tasers and other equipment used by police.
Give them "promotions" and transfer them to an engine block foundry.
When a company faces bankruptcy it is much easier to pink slip non or under performers with out a pile of paperwork.
De-certify the union, then fire the employes because they are wasting corporate time and profits.
Time to lean into the union to get their members in line with the "detriment of the company" clause as well as a known dollar amount that union members earn building police vehicles. Also time to remind the malcontents what percentage of their employee discount is paid by earnings on police vehicles.
