I figured that’s what you really meant, but I couldn’t resist.
I’m on the point of retirement myself, and I know we’ll be eating better too, and likely losing weight. No fast food other than Subway for about a half-hour drive from where we’re moving.
A lot of people don’t realize how addicting fast food is. They put all kinds of “taste good” additives in the food. They overload it with salt. After I retired and we stopped the fast food addiction I didn’t realize how addicted we had been until one day, on a whim, we went through a burger drive-thru. It was only minutes after eating before I was chugging water while craving more fries. Some of the sit down restaurants do it too.
Now, getting something from Chick-Fil-A or Subway is a rare treat, not a daily thing. I never crave FF but occasionally my husband does. At 82 I figure he’s entitled to eat what he wants. I just go get it and bring it home.
