I’m no fan of marrying an ugly person. Looks matter. But the person inside the body is who you are actually marrying. Be careful to note how you feel about that person and spending your entire life with them.
My first marriage was at age 21 and lasted 20 years. The first ten were pretty good. The last ten were hell, and we had become Christians with three kids. Well, at least one of us was/is.
Now, I’ve been marred to the same woman for 22 years and very much look forward to the next 30. It is what I imagined, as a kid, marriage was supposed to be. Sure, she’s attractive, but it is the person inside I’m in love with. And she is also my best friend, to the point that I really don’t have any close friends. She’s all I need.
