If California state sanctions are constitutionally valid, why are federal sanctions against the sanctuary secessionists of the state of California constitutionally invalid ?

Good point bert.

And, if California, New Jersey, New York, Michigan, Illinois, and other tyrannical state governors can institute unconstitutional "decrees" (such as Gov Newsom's from yesterday that banned worship singing in all churches), then why can't President Trump institute a series of national Executive Orders that override theirs?

The Supremacy Clause of the Constitution gives him both the authority and the right to do so in these cases, because these state governors have clearly violated the supreme law of the land.

- restriction of worship services are invalid (nationally)

- restriction of business operations are invalid (nationally)

And so on.

The only possible reason I can fathom that he won't do so is because he fears the media and the Democrats blaming him for each and every COVID death or infection (real or imaginary) between now and November. However, they are blaming him anyway.

Why not save the Republic and uphold the Constitution in the process?
