Friday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) called President Donald Trump the “weakest” president in American history.
Schumer said, “President Trump from day one has shown such weakness to Vladimir Putin that an autocratic power-grabbing man like him will constantly take advantage and he has been doing that through the years. Right now, with everything going on, with Russia being one of the biggest foes that we have, Trump calls for them joining the G-8, you know making the G7 a G8 and adding them in. When every other country says no way.”

Trump could counter this allegation by noting simply that he’s the president who has killed the most Russians since the Cold War began in 1947.
I would note that Lincoln managed to wage war against states in rebellion and win reelection.

There’s always a new tale and it’s always something that might appeal to old-time hard-line anti-communists, the one part of the Trump support base that the Democrats need to dislodge in order to stand any chance of winning.
The whole Russian collusion thing was a thinly veiled appeal to old-time anti-communist sentiments, the logic being, Putin is essentially KGB and not really any kind of a reformer, we can’t trust him any more than we could trust the Soviets, so anyone taking favors from him can’t be trusted.
Like Obama, the guy who told Putin’s no. 2 man Medvedev that he could do more in his second term.
But let’s forget about that as an inconvenient factoid, Trump was according to failed narrative A some kind of Putin plant about to betray vital U.S. interests if he could stay in power. Yeah, sure, we see the results of that all around us today (if we are delusional).
So this new track seems to be stirring up the same sentiment only using widely disliked Xi Jinping as the new Putin. It may fool a few people. The president is not exactly famous for carefully scripted remarks anyway, who knows what he might have said off the cuff and later clarified by diplomatic notes or other channels.
Personally I don’t care, the alternative to Trump is a very dangerous plunge into globalist anarchy with the current plan being to advance a nearly comatose individual into the White House. There is not much chance of that individual getting more cognitive function between now and 2021, so the real power behind the throne is likely to be the usual suspects, the innumerable globalists who want to get back to their big pet project of dismantling the U.S.A. — and that can only play right into the hands of China and Russia, so I’m saying, who are the real collaborators?]

Trump has not let the dems run everything.... it’s been difficult and it’s been never ending... but the dems have someone to contend with instead of a weak no body... congress that never knew how to fight for the right things.

Where’s the rest of the GOP? In addition, it is that proven major media outlets and big tech are censoring information, Wikipedia is re-writing info. Despite the foreign policy imperative to face our China and Russia enemies, it’s not a very big issue to the average American - and what they have heard via the Russian hoax / impeachment - there’s no there there. The political bosses and rank and file demonkraps who who are your average radicals, need to perpetuate the lie.
He who protests too much gives truth to the lie; so ignoring it publicly most of the time is not so bad a policy (wait til Joe brings it up at the debate) given it isn’t something that is peeling off any Trump supporters; I don’t see Russia/China pulling independents to demented Joe.
Reminds me of the decades of the left promoting the lie that Alger Hiss was innocent despite the overwhelming evidence and conviction to the contrary. We can’t make the left stop perpetuating its lies. What a way to spend one’s short time on the earth.
