I still maintain that if we’ve seen this much radical change since 2012, when someone like Minion could get the nomination as a “traditional pol” to Trump, a traditional pol won’t have a chance in 2024. Moreover, a small state female gov will have the Sarah Palin reference attached to her.
I continue to think that with the culture (and education) shifting so rapidly, in 4 more years none but a celebrity can run. On our side, that means a Christian celebrity. And if the numbers keep shifting Trump’s way among blacks, it would likely be a black Christian celebrity, i.e., Kanye. We’ll see.
It’s been interesting that Kanye has more or less ridden out the BLM/rioting stuff without coming out too much publicly. This was wise on his part. The right isn’t there yet, and neither is the black community, but in 3 years, both very well may be. So he has avoided a major pitfall.
Tucker Carlson is getting buzz. He’s not very famous enough to be a “celeb” though is he?
Pence as sitting VP would have recent history on his side but I don’t know about him.
Dems seems to be afraid of Tom Cotton, they are saying things like “He’s Trump but smarter”.
I was gonna say something about Kanye before I read he was running now (!?). What I was gonna say is I don’t know if he can be trusted or possibly do the job but actually do think he could have a real chance at the nomination if avoided straying from any key GOP issues.
