I’ve watched her videos today and all I can think of is her fragility, instability and lack of self-respect.
I get her using the analogy between someone bleeding out from a stabbing and the comparative insignificance of a paper cut. She was being Hahvad smaht.
These kids live their lives on a stage. Every idea and thought and feeling must be put online for others to see and applaud or curse. They have no sense of having an actual life with private moments. They react. They emote. Social media has made is into voyeurs or performers.
At her age I may very well have been righteous and passionate about an issue and said something thoughtless but after the fun someone in my family would have explained why my actions were wrong or misguided. I would have new information to contend with. I would have the beginning of a new point of view. This girl, like so many now, simply doesn’t know any better. No adult has challenged her.
She just couldn’t restrain herself- had to come on and deliver us her angst and self-pity. I’d wager she’s learned nothing that will strengthen her character or widen her vision.
Poor foolish girl.
