Fauci: We're not going in the right direction
Arutz Sheva ^ | 3/7/20

The US top infectious disease expert said on Thursday he is growing increasingly concerned with the number of coronavirus infections in the United States as cases grow at an unprecedented rate even after months of lockdowns, The Hill reports.

Speaking a day after the country confirmed more than 50,000 new cases of coronavirus in a single 24-hour period, Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), said younger people are now accounting for a much greater share of the pandemic.

"I think it's pretty obvious, Howard, that we are not going in the right direction," Fauci was quoted as having said in an interview with Howard Bauchner, editor-in-chief of the Journal of the American Medical Association.

"We need to realize that if we do not adhere to the guidelines as we're trying to open, and I don't mean officially, I mean the citizenry, the people that are out there, we're going to be in some serious difficulty," he added.

Fauci pointed to Arizona, California, Florida and Texas, four states that have accounted for about half the new cases in the country this year. Hospital systems in Arizona and Texas are beginning to report they are running out of bed space for patients, while hospitalizations are rising in other parts of the country.

Those mass outbreaks, he warned, threaten to overwhelm even areas that have the virus under control.

‘Trump will win in a landslide’

on what do you base that...?

‘this virus is running it’s course’

doesn’t matter; media says otherwise, and that’s what the American people see...

The response: This is a good thing. More young people to provide antibody blood. It could soon be over.

Texas didn’t open “too soon”. What would be the right time for our state to open, then?

The more you test, the more you find. Not sick people, just positive cases.

Who doesn’t believe if they had their way they would systematically euthanize the old (60 or older) and critically ill people?
And then the “mental defectives”. In other words people who do not worship the State.

“they want herd immunity ... which you wpn’t achieve locking everyone down”

Exactly. Everyone has to be exposed. Otherwise this will drag out forever — or November

Amazing how they change the narrative from "flatten the curve" to "stop the virus."

I think we should suspend the elections. Keep the current government in place until the country is rid of the Coronavirus. That’s the only way to be safe!

Yeah who needs that pesky Constitution anyway? Just gets in the way.

How to interpret that statement depends on one’s perspective, doesn’t it?

“I think it’s pretty obvious, Howard, that we are not going in the right direction,” Fauci was quoted as having said in an interview with Howard Bauchner, editor-in-chief of the Journal of the American Medical Association.”

And, his solution is more lockdowns, more things that haven’t worked?

If it will save just one American life, it is worth it!

And if it saves 10 lives would you say dump the Constitution entirely?

Here’s a little anecdote for you. A nurse called in to a Pittsburgh talk show on Wednesday with a very interesting story. She had personally administered 30-some tests, all of which were positive and she began to wonder, so she sent in an unused swab for testing, which also came back positive. She spoke with other nurses who had the same experience, so 10 of them sent in unused swabs for testing. Surprise, surprise - all of them came back positive as well.

My wife and I own a personal care home in Pennsylvania, so I began tracking international statistics from all available sources from early December until well into April, although I gave up on China early. Their statistics were pure junk; on more than one occasion, they actually went DOWN, so I quit paying attention to stats from China. In late March, I quit tracking US statistics. There was far too much anecdotal information coming out from doctors, funeral home directors, coroners and others complaining about the methodology and issues with the various tests in use. I’ll spare you all the details, but my point is, statistics for the US are just as useless as the ones from China...

If all he says is true, then anyone caught out protesting clearly is a danger to us all and spreading the virus. I’m sure he would agree that their first amendment rights end when they endanger everyone else. They need to be rounded up, put into “quarantine”, perhaps into camps in the Texas and Arizona desert in the open since the heat kills the virus faster of course, forced to wear masks, and kept there until the virus is gone completely or we can give them the vaccine when (or if) it becomes available since they clearly can’t be counted on to do “what’s best for the country” and are out selfishly spreading the disease.....

I’m sure the good “doctor” would agree that this would be good science of course....

>>But they might infect grandma. So quarantine grandma!<<

Exactly. But that’s not what San Diego County is doing. The Leftist public health officer, in league with the only Leftist ‘RAT on the board of supervisors (who used to be a RINO!), is going in the opposite direction and again trying to shut down the economy. The rest of the board are nominal Republicans, and the city mayor is a Republican, yet they have abdicated their leadership responsibilities and are standing on the sidelines with their thumbs up their @$$e$. Spineless jellyfish, just like most of the party apparatchiks these days.
