Top officials in the White House were aware in early 2019 of classified intelligence indicating Russia was secretly offering bounties to the Taliban for the deaths of Americans, a full year earlier than has been previously reported, according to U.S. officials with direct knowledge of the intelligence.
The assessment was included in at least one of President Donald Trumps written daily intelligence briefings at the time, according to the officials. Then-National Security Adviser John Bolton also told colleagues at the time that he briefed Trump on the intelligence assessment in March 2019.

Bolton leaked this, he’s treasonous.
This is a big deal, right Boltontheleft?
So, you MUST have written every detail about this, in your book. Right??
Investigative journalism - I’ll ask Traitor John what he knows.
If you report it, it should mean you believe it to be true.
As far as AP as a source? Highly questionable.
“Russian” always means Clinton-Mueller-Clinton-Comey-Obola
It’s a new old scandal. He had to bring it up now because no one was believing his other lies.
The president gets 100 intelligence reports everyday.
He cant start bombing after each story.
Oh goody. Glad to see Unnamed Sources is still active
Agree.
That is about the way it seems to work.
Bolton is pathetic. He sounds like a spoiled little girl who didn’t get her way and now she is going to say and do whatever to get attention not matter what it takes.
I think they are trying to get him into some kind of conflict/war but it’s not working.
So the question is, what to d about it? Democrats will argue Trump should have nuked Russia for it. But I also know the “Neo-Cons” want the war to go on and on and on, and allegations like this will destroy the peace accord and our withdrawal and the war will go one. And we have all the Left Wing pundits crying for “retribution” against Russia for this. They are all shaking their fists, wanting to send US troops into battle against Russia now (of which thousands will die) so the pundits can get satisfaction. The irony
He was my first choice when it happened. First of all, he was fired in September and just weeks later the Ukraine WB came out. The outlandish secretiveness of protecting the WB was to protect the identity, knowing Boltons credibility would be challenged. Secondly, he was Mitt Romneys campaign foreign policy adviser in 2012 and most telling was his dust ups with other administrations. Then there is always the fact that a little guy like him running around with a mustache bigger than his face can be pretty damning.

apologies for the multiple postings.
Some within the White House may have been aware of RUMORS that the Russians were paying bounties to the Taliban for dead American soldiers, that still does not confer any truth to the rumors. There is still no confirmed incontrovertible evidence that any of this actually occurred.
These payments MAY have happened, because, after all, we are dealing with the Russians and the Taliban, and of course both parties would be expected to deny such payment.
But then, both these parties have been known to conceal truth, for their own advantage. Therefore, a lot of judgment on various levels has to be exerted to sift out the probably most likely conclusion.
These calls are never as easy as some would make them out to be.
