A couple brandished an AR-15 and a handgun at protesters marching past their mansion in an upscale St. Louis neighborhood. Husband and wife, Mark and Patricia McCloskey could be seen aiming the guns at demonstrators who walked by their palatial property in the wealthy Forest Park area at around 6pm on Sunday.
At one point, the pair seemed to be unknowingly pointing their weapons at one another other while trying to keep protesters away from their home - dubbed the Niemann Mansion. The protesters were en route to Mayor Lyda Krewson's home to demand her resignation after she released the names and addresses of residents who had suggested defunding the police department. The pair are both personal injury lawyers and run McCloskey Law Center from inside their extravagant home.
Mr McCloskey is representing a victim of police brutality. The man - who was identified by the initials I.F. - was kicked and struck by police officer David Maas in shocking dashcam footage. The initials match a 2019 civil lawsuit made by Isaiah Forman in which the same allegations are put forward. Forman pleaded guilty to crashing his car into a police vehicle during the chase and is serving a seven year sentence. Maas was charged with one count of deprivation of rights under color of law.

Happy they’re standing up for themselves, but it looks to me like they both could use some firearm training...
Yes, they do need some help, but probably wouldn't accept it.
If they broke down a gate, they were not peaceful.
That lady looks pissed.
Looks like the rioters are armed, too. Also, the rioters are in their yard, not on a street(look at the aerial) That porch is setback from the street a good bit.
Im very surprised the people defending their property werent shot dead by those thug protestors.
“Get off my lawn.”
Alligators..... definitely alligators......
However my more traditional approach of shotguns, sidearms and two protection GSDs would also work... ;^)
Poor to no weapons training, for sure.
But, they’re lawyers — what DON’T they know?
you got me to chuckle..thanks I needed that.
In before the sharks with frickin laser beams posts....
Its a couple of frightened civilians defending their home from an angry mob. They deserve a little leeway.
Houston Police did a great job defusing, corralling, and arresting rioters a couple weeks ago, and as a result we are the largest city in the country without significant damage. Im not a big fan of our police chief, but I have to admit he did a good job here.
I don’t know why some conservatives haven’t trapped skunks, thrown blankets over the cages (that calms them and they won’t spray), and taken them to these protests and released them. About 20 skunks among the crowd and you would have something worthy of video.
I saw a picture of inside that house. It is stunning. This couple need to invite some well armed militia over to spend a few nights in the back yard. The vandals will be back.
The”attack” on CNN was staged.
Domestic Terrorism Missouri Couple Defends Their Home From Rampaging Mob Who Broke Through Perimeter Gate on Private Property

Excerpt:
The important aspect is here the mob was not on a public street; the mob represented a clear threat; and Missouri has strong Castle Doctrine laws that do not require a duty of the homeowner to retreat from the threat. This mob was very fortunate the couple were well disciplined in their use of firearms.
Once the mob broke through the gate, they were effectively in the justifiable kill zone.
Missouris law is more extensive than those of other states because it allows you to use deadly force to attack an intruder to protect any private property that you own, in addition to yourself or another individual. This means that if someone illegally enters your front porch or backyard, you can use deadly force against them without retreating first. (link)
NOTE: link found in comments to pictures of house, etc. It is one gorgeous place.

Also, someone else commented that “The St. Louis couples place is on the National Historic Register. Its protected by the Presidents executive order against the defilement of historical sites and statues.” There are documents to back up the Historic Register designation.
:
A flamethrower would be very effective at dispersing a crowd of trespassers.
They did fine. They put the ferals on notice that they are not an easy takedown. Notice nobody running up on the porch to get some.
Like.
“Their upset is understood, they just didn’t handle it quite right.”
Yes: Anyone who fears such a situation - urban riot - should have a magazine with blanks, a baklava and the foresight to position in a concealed manner which does not draw attention to one’s own home.
That show of force accomplished nothing but kicking the bee hive, but they can afford the armed security which is now compulsory.
