“Houston and Austin, TX are prepping the coliseums to take hospital patients. Yeh, the flu bros are in denial and will chalk the coliseums up to basket weaving contests.”

After the millions of dollars wasted on building huge temporary hospitals around the country and deploying navy hospital ships to prep for an onslaught that was never going to happen, you’re not seriously trying to cry wolf again. Are you?

To be fair, Texas Medical Center in Houston (a massive complex employing over 106,000 people and seeing over 10,000,000 patients a year) is at 100% normal ICU capacity right now (they have surge capacity) and has seen a huge uptick in ICU utilization due to COVID-19 patients recently. That's certainly concerning.
