To be honest, as a hard-core Trump guy, I’m not tired of WINNING! anymore. The first three years were magnificent, particularly considering the thousand-pound weight hanging on POTUS with the Russia-collusion BS, an unfounded special-counsel investigation, and a GOP-controlled House and Senate that abandoned him, leaving him out to dry. The only President ever to confront and survive a coup d’é·tat!
He miraculously survived that, although losing the House, but he had a great triumph when the BS Ukraine impeachment hoax failed. He was riding high and the polls reflected it. WINNING!
The economic numbers were historical successes. More WINNING!
And COVID management was great too. Another bump in the polls — and ratings for the daily briefs! Still more WINNING!
But let’s be honest. Not much WINNING lately. I can’t point to any one thing — or anything at all! — that POTUS did wrong. But we all can feel the severe lack of WINNING! the past few months.
And don’t dare flame me for this! You can check my history of 20 years. I’m not a defeatist, closet-Commie, or DU troll. I’m just not feeling the WINNING!
It would be nice to discuss how POTUS could get us WINNING! again, especially since an election is coming up. But I’m not naive enough to expect this post to result in anything remotely approaching rational discussion.

Trump let the air out of their tires BIGLY on that one.
First, there were published reports that there were infiltrators in National Guard garb--they were discovered because they had the wrong weapons; Trump holding back the miliary, and the National Guard, and furthermore, having the DOD order them to wear soft felt caps -- took away any possibility of false flags.
Second, Trump allowed he distribution of photos / short videos of some truly fearsome looking Secret Service Counter-Snipers walking along the mall with their weaponry -- the rifle the one guy was carrying looks like it would have punched holes in an Armored Personnel Carrier. (And doubtless the Secret Service knows, and has ways of keeping an eye on, all the good places for a sniper to hide, anywhere within say 1.5 miles of the Mall.)
Third, Trump flooded DC with armed CIVILIAN Federal Agents: those who require no permission whatsoever from State and/or Local Authorities to be there, or to effect arrests.
There were some curious videos surfacing, including one of a young woman on her knees with her hands up, while one of her cohorts in the middle distance is rather firmly shoved into a car by uniformed men. You can hear one of them telling the woman with her hands up, over her bleated protestations "Where are you taking her?" that "if you try to follow us we'll shoot you."
Supposedly, Attorney General Barr has arrested about 500 people nationwide among the rioters: and they are detained on FEDERAL charges, where the George Sore-Ass bought-and-paid mayors and DAs cannot intervene to let them go. It might even be the case that a goodly number of the arrests are among the more intelligent of the rioters, the street marshals, as it were, who rile up and direct the mobs. (Witness the two New York Lawyers, who went to Princeton and to Fordham Law in New York respectively, one of whom originally had her bail guaranteed by another lawyer who makes $250k or more a year, and who used to help to prepare the Presidential Daily Briefing for 0moeba. Bail rescinded. Ten years in the Federal pen will ruin you for anything except a cushy academic gig.)
But the other part of this is the "let them advance the encircle them". The mobs have overshot -- not only going after monuments paid for by freed slaves, but of abolitionists and of Cervantes (yes, that Cervantes) who had himself been a slave (yes, really. Think of the Barbary Pirates and Muslims capturing infidels...The Muslims came within a hair of overrunning *VIENNA*, _after_ the Pilgrims landed at Plymouh Rock.)
And of course, CHAZ/CHOP in Seattle. Insurrection, sure. And Trump let it form, grow, glow brightly, feed on itself, and burn out. He did not give it the dignity of a direct response, which is what the organizers were counting on to stay energized and mobilize further support. Instead, like most of the riots -- and like most of the worse COVID-19 effects -- it acted mainly on already deep-blue areas which weren't going to vote for President Trump anyway.
And the proof of all of this is the whispered conversations among formerly mildly-Dem-to-get-along, mostly-centrist people. "Where can I buy a gun?" Anyone who is buying a gun for the first time in their life, will not be in a hurry to vote for Kiddy Fondler Biden. Those who are adding to their firearms collection, even less so.
Only thing left for the Dems now, is vote-by-mail and INTERNATIONAL voter fraud. President Trump said this on the air on TV tonight: "What if China prints millions of ballots on the same paper and same machines as the states?"

My wife and I have both come to the conclusion Trump no longer seems to care if he wins or not= noticed this change over the last few months.
FDR at least had the country behind him during WWII but with Trump 1/2 the country hates him, 99 percent of the media and the republican elites want him gone. This must weigh heavily on Trump. Dealing with Chinese virus unemployment economy etc must be daunting but worse when the country is not behind you.
I would like to see President Trump give an oval-office type fireside-chat-type of speech. He can portray American values and what is great about America. He can explain Federalism, which will calm people down about his not getting involved in local anarchist/Communist attacks against Communist-led cities.
I want him to give a speech that will inspire us all and remind those who are demoralized about what we believe in.
I agree with you. It does not feel like winning. I attribute it to the radical virus control over people’s lives. We all know this is no different than the flu but we’re supposed to all act like it’s AIDS and it’s airborne. The radical left leadership in cities, counties and states is suffocating the people and Trump, et al, are not saying it. I would love to see Trump take a VERY bold step and bring in QUALIFIED medical counsel (not that frickin loser farci or birx) and establish that we are not at risk. Call for us to take back our freedom and give us boldness to fight back because we have him on our side.
