This is disappointing... I was hoping there would be at least one fringe benefit for all the damage, hatred and violence these scumbags have caused..
A lot of these “protests” are held outdoors.
The rapidly rising spike across the country is just coincidental.
Outdoors it doesn’t spread very well it seems. I’ve seen figures saying something like 19 times less contagious outdoors vs indoors. Another study looked at 7500 cases of transmission and could only find one case where outdoor transmission had actually occurred.
Now of course, none of this was even mentioned when it was people out protesting the stay at home orders. At the time, those protests were supposed to be the end of the world. We were all going to get COVID in days because those terrible terrible protestors. Of course, when cases didn’t spike after, that didn’t change the lie. Protests for me but not for thee?
Just as I predicted three weeks ago. Covid-19 is over. It’s dying out.
The lockdowns didn’t do anything helpful. The masks are even more futile.
Quarantining the healthy was an asinine strategy.
This is a smart-virus with a CEP of millimeters.
It is ravaging the border states per the press - http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3858843/posts - but completely avoids the paragons of virtue at BLM protests.
The Defense Department should look into modifying COVID as a new means of precision targeting.
In my heavily Democrat south side of Atlanta there are a few churches that dis-regarded the Mayor and held services indoors in Late April. Each Sunday more churches held services. 50 to 150 cars in the parking lot. You guess how many worshippers inside the church.
The same people attend these churches week after week. It would be easy to track if this lack of social distancing, and boisterous singing and laying on of hands, etc increased COVID-19 more than the area average.
But like lawyers, Nobody wants to ask the question unless they already know the answer... and that the answer fits their agenda. And that applies to all sides in this debate.
Nobody is actually doing the easily available research.
The average incubation period is 5 days and it has been 30 days since the first "protest."
Cases have had some increases because testing has increased but deaths continue to decline. If there hasn't been a spike by now there's not going to be.

It stands to reason that the protest crowd, some not wearing masks, got some dangerous exposure. Therefore, it stands to reason that this article is bogus.
