The cop having his knee on the man’s neck did not cause his death. He did not die of asphyxiation. He died of ExDS.
If I ever walk by and see a cop with a knee on your neck and he remains like that until you die, I’ll make sure to tell the jury that you probably would have died anyway.
And, as always, the Democrat/Left will be "shocked I tell you!" how their overreach punishes them severely.

Having a problem with what the officer did is not relevant to the question of “can it be proved that the officer caused the death?”
The answer to that question is “no”.

What i’m (apparently unsuccessfully) suggesting is that the democrats (and the left but i repeat myself) are not over reaching at all. They are Over Charging with the expected result that the officer will not be convicted. The expected result is violence in the streets by their allies in BLM and Antifa.

My local tough on looters sheriff called it “murder” and said he was “shocked” other cops did not intervene. I see a pretty broad consensus here on this case. This isn’t Ferguson. Or Atlanta. Or Trayvon. Etc. These dirty Minneapolis cops are going to hang and rightly so.

The softer parts of Floyd's neck were further forward and sloping almost straight down in relation to Chauvin’s knee.
Anyone can check this by lying down in the prone position and turning his/her face to the right.
If I was a Minneapolis cop, I would have gone to Chauvin’s bond hearing and let Chauvin put his knee on my neck.
Then, I would have sung patriotic songs and recited Bible verses for 8 minutes, to offend Attorney General Keith Ellison, and also so the judge could see I was breathing without effort.
that why it is not going to happen, it is not about logic, and the two condemning points are that
1 )Floyd was handcuffed and
2) after the infamous , I can’t breathe Chauvin did not let up for 10 secs but appears to bear down. Its the sheer length of almost 9 minutes of kneeling that is the worst part that cannot be explained away. Chauvin wasn’t even the originally arresting officer but jumped in to show how it was done.
Lots of officers would testify that once you have them handcuffed on the ground it is over. If he had had only done it for 1 minute it would be different story. Sad, the death and destruction and probably leading to a Biden victory too.
