There is no “threshold of significance”.
BLM has corporations in their back pocket.
If we speak out, guess what? We get fired. No ammo, no food for our families, etc.
At least at the moment, they can wreck some monuments, and we get to keep preparing for a very real incursion on our family’s safety.
Maybe the Republic will die with a whimper, but maybe it died some time ago, when we all started living on debt, and not being able to provide for our families without living in the machine.
The Bible speaks of the world economic system. This may be it... and guess what? There is no escape except for The Risen Savior! And many don’t believe in Him.
Lately, watching all of this go down, that is my only hope. My President of choice is already neutered. I will vote for him again, but in reality, he has no power in this government. The government is now a entity of its own that cannot be controlled by ANY elected official.
So yeah, I am fine with our visible history being trashed, to the extent I will not be risking my wife/kids defending dead monuments.
Hey even the Oath Keepers took an oath for the Constitution, not to protect the nation’s monuments. Can’t fault them either!
This isnt directed at you so much as others with whom Ive had similar incredibly disappointing conversations tonight on this subject: Sadly, I have to conclude that at least some here, and I hope it is only some, are patriots in name only, who love to talk about Americas foundational principles, but who will never actually do anything to defend them if to do so means that their comfort is threatened. Im sorry, but thats just pathetic given our heritage, and the incredible sacrifices made by others to provide that comfort. There are many words to describe a patriot, but selfish and apathetic are not among them.
As for the prophetic implications of what is happening, I agree that this very well may be an acceleration of prophetic events, but Christians must always be careful not to assume that we can therefore just fold our arms and let the world burn. First, many throughout history have presumed to be the final generation, and all so far were wrong. Scripture is clear that people will think that Jesus is being slow about his return, when he is just being held a little longer by the Father in his hope that not even one would perish. So none of us know when it will occur, though we certainly know the season. Second, we are explicitly called to defend the innocent against evildoers, and should never think that we can just watch things go down the tubes apathetically because its all gonna burn anyway. The parable of the watchmen on the wall makes it clear that if we see danger approaching and do nothing to stop it, then the blood of the evildoers victims is not only on his head, but on ours as well.
Also, anyone who thinks, Well, theyre just tearing down some statues right now and burning a few things...nothing to get worked up about yet doesnt understand how evil works. It rarely drops out of the sky in a full-on assault, Red Dawn style. Far more often, as now, it just incrementally advances, farther and farther as it meets no resistance, with no single isolated event quite enough to get the complacent off their couches. Problem is, before you know it the entire country is lost while you were sitting there on your couch waiting for that big event that would finally be big enough to justify your taking action.
We should be firmly resisting every single attempt by the left to desecrate and erase our nations heritage, no matter how small. Either that, or just stay on the couch and hope they come for you last.
