One more tool to keep racism and slavery front and center
from now until eternity.
Its a holiday for blacks from Republicans.
NEAR SILENCE??? One person out of a hundred outside of Texas had ever heard of Juneteenth until two weeks ago. Its 150th Anniverssry was five years ago, a Black man was POTUS and was anything made of it ? And someone should tell all the celebrants of color that Juneteenth was brought to you by young white men from Michigan, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Maine, and on and on.
Next year, you have a new day off, showing solidarity with your black brothers and sisters by not working on the hallowed Juneteenth.
Good, I missed it.
The day marks Republicans’ freeing of the slaves from their Democrat masters.
I saw several stories today claiming you were a racist if you weren’t aware of Juneteeeenth.
We’ll have to trade Juneteenth for getting rid of something else, like Presidents’ Day, Veterans’ Day or Memorial Day.
This guy has an interesting political ad...
White People:
Stop Washing the Feet Of Black People.
Black People:
Stop letting other people wash your feet.
CUT OUT THE ACT!

I thought this had something to do with Free Bacon when I first looked at the source. Nevermind.
Im from TX, but I lived many years ago in rural NV. I had many black friends, who all thought I was pulling their legs the first time I brought up Juneteenth. Since then, Ive always believed it to be a regional, if not strictly a Texas thing.
But its not been a thing in many places until the drive-bys made hay of it.
I never heard of it until I moved to Texas - and I STILL think it’s a degrading name for a ‘holiday’.
