Atlanta Police Department Twitter said they’re experiencing a “higher than usual number” of call-outs (officers calling in sick) for the next shift. But not to worry; they have the “necessary resources” to protect the city and its residents.
Translated: the walk-off/sick-out is real, and the significant numbers being reported earlier are probably accurate.
And look; here are the websites for the Atlanta TV stations as of 9 pm EDT; what’s missing in local news?
WSB-TV (ABC; longtime market leader): https://www.wsbtv.com/
WAGA-TV (Fox, network owned-and-operated): https://www.fox5atlanta.com/
WXIA-TV (NBC affiliate): https://www.11alive.com/
WGCL-TV (CBS, cellar-dweller): https://www.cbs46.com/
Not a single mention of the “blue flu” epidemic sweeping Atlanta. And just for grins, here’s the current “front page” of the Atlanta Journal Constitution website:
https://www.ajc.com/ (BTW, the paper is owned by Cox Enterprises, which also runs WSB-TV). You’d better believe Atlanta’s “civic leaders” are leaning on the local media to down play the sickout—and the good liberals in the newsrooms are more than happy to comply.
11alive.com is covering the story.
Heh. So none of the local media know anything about the callouts. You can be sure that the local thugs know about it though.
Yee hah.
Its not true. There are basically no cops in the city of Atlanta right now. Cops from surrounding counties are going to refuse assistance.
