The Indian Army late Tuesday night raised the death toll in a clash with Chinese troops on a disputed Himalayan border from three to 20 Indian soldiers.
The army also said in a statement that the two sides “have disengaged” from the disputed Galwan area where they clashed overnight on Monday.
The army originally reported that three Indian soldiers had died, but later said 17 additional soldiers succumbed to injuries they suffered in the sub-zero temperatures of the high-altitude terrain.
China has accused Indian forces of carrying out “provocative attacks” on its troops and has not said if any of its soldiers have died.
Thousands of soldiers on both sides have been facing off for over a month.
The clash — during which neither side fired any shots, according to Indian officials — is the first deadly confrontation between the two Asian giants since 1975.

I would agree - the Indians have a greater opinion of themselves than the Chinese, but not by a lot.
I would say the Chinese would win if it lasts long enough. In my experience Indians would get very butt hurt when I would criticize their performance and then pout. The Chinese would get quiet and then double their efforts to eventually give me something that worked.
Indian OFFICIALLY dumped the caste system in 1950 but since it had been a part of Indian culture for 2000 years I don't expect any "POOF" and its gone any time soon.
The caste system was based solely on color as the "untouchables" were very dark from the African travels over the southern most part of the continent.

Yes, the Indians had that color caste thing but the SYMBOL for China is the "center of the universe." That's a lot of gall as well.
But BOTH cultures do produce beautiful things...so they do contribute to the beauty of the world.

This coming from the healthiest, wealthiest, safest and BEST country in the world. The only one that was bigger and better was the ROMAN EMPIRE. They brought order to a world in chaos and they spread Christianity...not bad contributions.

I had stated that the Chinese and Indians are the rudest people on the planet.
Eventually another poster asked why I thought that.
I stated that I had traveled and was an engineer, thus I know Chinamen and Indians.
He then asked where I’ve been, and what type of engineering I do.
I asked where you had traveled. Obviously you went to China and India. Weren't they just...."swell"? Lol.
We went to Lake Dahl with the cedar houseboats. We stayed there a few days.
As we left I looked back at the houseboats and there was a stream of PINK stuff coming out of a pipe going into the lake. It was TOILET PAPER.
All the boat sewage flowed RIGHT INTO THEIR LAKE.

Indias army, if we include all the trained reserve, is actually larger than China including its reserve. They are the only nation theoretically capable of waving their way to victory by sheer force of numbers. Of course, modern wars dont realky work that way but IF they did...
Once that Euphrates river dries up, they are off towards Israel too.
I can’t see India & China getting into a full blown war before the Tribulation.
