You really think they would take out American sats for this? Genuinely asking.
Why *wouldn’t* they if they were going to war? Especially since our ability to do the same is pretty limited, thanks to us shutting down our ASAT squadrons leaving our only ASAT weapon the missile-defense Aegis cruisers and their SM3 missiles. The Chinese have both ASAT missiles that can knock a satellite out of orbit and laser weapons that can temporarily or permanently blind a satellite.
SpaceX has the solution, at least for military communications. Can’t take out THOUSANDS of micro sats.
