Just because its made in India? LOL. American engine, Indian Israeli and French radars and weapons systems. Soon to have an AESA radar with Israeli and Indian BVR AAMs. Its not the F-22 it will have to fight. Mainly the JF-17 Thunder of the PAF. Another F-16 wannabe. With a Russian engine and Chinese everything else.
They’re starting to use Chinese engines in them now - China has gotten single-crystal turbines going these days, and they’re as good as the Russian engines at this point.
I hope you’re right - it would be good for us to have a credible threat on China’s southern border to keep them busy. But I remember reading that the Indian Air Force rejected the home-grown plane. If it’s being forced on them regardless by politicians who will never have to fly in one, it’s not exactly promising for the next time China decided to get serious.
